On July 13 th , 1942, at the Wetzel Hospital in Clinton, Missouri, parents James Woodard Hibbs and Mary Jane (Friedman) Hibbs received their bundle of joy, Mary Louise. To this union and a few years later, a son and brother to Mary Louise, James W. Hibbs, was born. Mary spent her early childhood in Clinton, but after she finished the 5 th grade, her family moved to Kansas City.
At an early age, Mary married Charles Herbert Kline Sr. of Kansas City. To this union, two sons, Charles (Chuck) Herbert Kline Jr and Michael James Kline, and two beautiful daughters, Kelly Louise Kline and Mary Denise (Dee) (Kline) Radford were born. Mary and her children lived in the Kansas City area for a long period of time. During this time Mary worked as a cashier at the Paramount Theater. A few years later, she went to work for the St. Regis Paper Company and while working there she took courses at Draughon's College of Commerce. In August of 1970, Mary and her children moved back to Clinton after the passing of her mother Mary Jane.
Once back in Clinton, Mary met and married John Franklin Ingham of Urich, Missouri. To this union, one son, Johnny Lee Ingham, was born. Also becoming a part of Mary's life where John's two beautiful daughters from a previous marriage, Lori Ann (Ingham) Oswald and Johnna May Ingham. In August of 1972, Mary applied for a position at Wetzel Clinic and was hired by then Administrator Mr. Dick Fleming to work in the credit department. This was an opportunity in which Mary was extremely thankful for. She spent 47 years working at Wetzel Clinic, now Golden Valley Medical, retiring on 7/1/2019. Mary worked her way through different positions while working at Wetzel Clinic/Golden Valley Medical; starting out in the credit department, then as an Insurance Supervisor, and lastly in bookkeeping which she held until her retirement.
Most of Mary's life was devoted to God, Jesus Christ, and her family; she was a long-time member of Northeast Baptist Church in Clinton, Missouri, where, for a period, she served as a Sunday school teacher. She joyfully spent all her time and energy learning God's word and living a life she hoped pleased Him. If she wasn't reading scripture, she was listening to Pastor John MacArthur's tapes, CDs, or podcasts. Mary would say that because of God's Grace and her strong faith in Him, she was able to live a life that was full. For every decision she had to make, she always turned it over to God, knowing in her heart that He would take care of her. These values and her faith are what she strived to instill in her family.
The love and devotion she shown onto her family and friends was everlasting. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially around the holidays. It was a long tradition for the family to gather for Thanksgiving and Christmas; something she always cherished as it was a time her home was full of love, laughter, and stories. She enjoyed spending time with friends, whether it be going out to eat or going on a shopping trip in Kansas City. She was a big Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan. Mary would never hesitate to tell the story of how, when living in Kansas City, Missouri in 1970, and after the Kansas City Chiefs had won their first Super Bowl, she was able to watch the entire parade as it went by the office building where she worked.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary, her daughter Kelly Kline, her eldest son Chuck, and her lovely granddaughter Kelly Radford.
She is survived by her brother James (Jo) Hibbs of Nevada, Missouri, daughter, Dee (Gary Smith) Radford of Clinton, Missouri, daughter-in-law, Kaylene Kline of Clinton, Missouri, two sons, Michael (Stephanie Brister) Kline of Clinton, Missouri, and Johnny (Ginny) Ingham of Clinton, Missouri, 8 grandchildren, Charlie, Matt, Michelle, Amanda, Trinity, Kyle, Johnny Ray, and Rachael, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
