Mary Jo Kalwei, age 64, passed away Friday, November 15, 2019 at New Mark Care Center, Kansas City, Missouri.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00AM, Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Montrose, MO.  Visitation will be 9:00-10:00AM prior to service.  Interment will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Montrose, MO.  Condolences and fond memories may be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com . The family suggests memorial contributions to be made to KC Hospice or to the Gary Sinise Foundation and may be left in care of the funeral home.

Mary Jo Kalwei was born on July 9, 1955 in Clinton, Missouri to Edward and Wilma (Sexson) Kalwei. She worked in Housekeeping at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital. Mary Jo loved the Kansas City Royals and was a dedicated fan win or lose. She loved her family, cousins and friends. Mary Jo never forgot a birthday. Her smile and positive attitude was abundant.

Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Dwayne and Kenneth.

Mary Jo is survived by her sisters, Jo Anne Brakeville (Goddard), Jeanette F. (Paul) Delaune (Kalwei) and Janet M. (Scott) Shipers (Kalwei), nephew, Barry (Beckie) Brakeville, niece, Tina (David) Jones (Brakeville), great nephews, Brandon Jones and Taylor Jones and cousins and friends who she cherished and loved.
