Mary Jo (Bentley) Short, age 86, passed away January 22, 2020 at Clinton Health Care and Rehab Clinton, MO. Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM, Monday January 27, 2020 at Vansant Road Cemetery, Clinton, MO. The family suggests memorial contributions to Mt. Mary Jo was born July 15, 1933 in West Plains, MO the daughter of Byrle and Adeline (Haley) Bentley. Mary Jo married Robert L. Short on July 1, 1952 in West Plains, MO. She enjoyed baking, gardening, and making clothing for her children. Mary Jo was a devoted Christian and served her Lord. She also enjoyed writing songs and poems over the years. Mary Jo retired as a line worker at Rival Manufacturing after 27 years. In her later years, she enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents and husband, 3 sisters, Jane Fick, Agnus Evens, and Frieda Park; a brother Bob Bentley; a son, Gary Short; a son-in-law, Otis Crenshaw; a daughter-in-law, Kim Short; 1 grandson, and 2 great-grandsons.

Mary Jo is survived by 7 children, Sharon Crenshaw, Elaine Scott, Archie Short, Ted Short, Becky Morris, Cathy Lewis, and Connie short; son-in-law Wayne Scott; daughter-in-law Jill Short; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
