Marilyn Annette Abernathy passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City Missouri. Funeral service will be at 1 PM Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the Vansant-Mills Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the Antioch Cemetery Clinton, Missouri. Marilyn Annette Abernathy was born March 5, 1947 in Clinton Missouri to Carl and Virginia Nash. Marilyn was a member of the 2 ^nd Baptist Church. Marilyn worked at Capri in Clinton, Missouri for 23 years until her retirement in 2015. She helped watch over and maintain the Antioch Cemetery in Clinton. Marilyn was an avid reader and sports enthusiasts. She was full of spunk and had no problem telling you how she felt. One of her great joys was to watch her grandchildren play college and professional sports. Marilyn would stay up at all times of the day and night to catch her grandson's games in Europe. Marilyn's greatest loves were her children and grandchildren. Her smile and laugh would light up any room.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Virginia, her son Jason in 2011 and her brother Terry. She is survived by her son Chad and Fiancé Gena Cunningham of Raymore, Missouri. Daughter Tamera Green of Winchester, Virginia. Three brothers Carl Nash of Clinton, Missouri; Danny Nash (Julie Frazier of Clinton, Missouri; and Gary (Kendra) Nash of Overland Park, Kansas. 18 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
