Marguerette "Earlene" Manning, 89, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri after a long and courageous battle with cancer. A Celebration of Life for Marguerette will be Tuesday, December 23rd, 2025 at 3PM at the Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, Missouri. Family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the chapel.

Earlene was born on July 7, 1936 in Newkirk, Oklahoma, to Chester Newton Goodson and Edith Bare Goodson.

Earlene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Family was everything to her. She loved to crochet, cook, watch Jeopardy and Survivor, and was an avid dog lover.

Survivors include her sons Jim (Denise) from Oregon; Rob and Kevin from Urich, Missouri; daughter Joyce Manning from Kirksville, Missouri; 10 grandkids and 11 great-grandkids. She was preceded in death by her daughter Kimberly, husband Bob and her parents.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
