Mae "Marie" Dunning, age 89 of Clinton, Missouri, passed away Saturday, April 21st, 2018 at The Arbors at Glendale Gardens, Clinton, Missouri. Funeral service will be on Friday, April 27 at First Baptist Church, Clinton at 11am with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church, Clinton and may be left in care of the funeral home. Mae Marie Dunning was born on April 4, 1929 in Chilhowee, Missouri to Ivan Mason and Blanche (Doak) Howerton. Marie graduated from Norris High School and went to college at Southwest Baptist University to become a grade school teacher. She loved reading and spending time with kids. Marie was a first grade teacher for over 30 years in the Clinton School District. Marie was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Clinton.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Al, brother John Howerton, sister-in-law Wanda Chaney and brother-in-law Harvey.

Marie is survived by her son Doug Dunning and wife Pam, Clinton, daughter Debra Dunning, Clinton, sister-in-laws Margaret Howerton and Peggy Gray and husband Bill, 2 grandchildren Cody and Lana Dunning.
