Lyle D. Cummings, age 89 of Clinton, Missouri passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011 at
Cox South in
Springfield, Missouri. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Thursday, March 10, 2011 at the Clinton United Methodist Church. Lyle will lie in state from 12 Noon to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton. Burial will be in the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri. Family sugguests contributions to the Clinton Sunrise Optimist Club or the Clinton United Methodist Church and may be left at the funeral home. Lyle was born in Garden City, Missouri, the son of Gilbert H. and Ada (Lincoln) Cummings. He was an American Family Insurance Agent for over 50 years. Lyle was a Army Air Corp veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Martha of the home; one daughter, Carla Moberly and husband, Gary; two sons, Steve Cummings and wife Terri and David Cummings and wife, Jennifer, all of Clinton and five grandchildren, Mark Moberly, Devin Moberly, Andy Cummings, Casey Cummings and Adam Cummings.
