Lunetta Newell, age 87, of Chilhowee, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at the Warrensburg Care Center in Warrensburg, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday, April 21, 2022 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel in Clinton, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 22, 2022, also at Vansant-Mills Chapel. Burial will follow in Englewood Cemetery in Clinton, Missouri. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Quarles Baptist Church or the Missouri Baptist Children's Home and can be left in care of the funeral home.

Lunetta Marie Newell was born on February 12, 1935 in La Monte, Missouri. Lunetta was a member of Quarles Baptist Church and accepted Christ at age 11 years, was baptized on October 25, 1945. On October 20, 1953 she married John Newell in Sedalia, Missouri. Lunetta worked as a Dietary Supervisor at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital and retired after 30 years. She also was a member of Golden Valley Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Newell, her parents Martha & Forest Fisher, her father Elza Pittman, and her brother, Henry Anthony Fisher.

Survivors include her 3 sons; Randy (Linda) Newell of Marble Hill, Missouri, Alan (Bonnie) Newell of Clinton, Missouri, Christopher (Debbie) Newell of Chilhowee, Missouri, 2 daughters; Rhonda (Rick) Lunsford of Los Fresnos, Texas, Diane (Marty) Johnson of Higginsville, Missouri, 3 siblings; Elwood Fisher of Lamar, Missouri, Larry (Merle) Fisher of North Canton, Ohio, Virginia (Ed) Schouten of La Monte, Missouri, 15 grandchildren and 21 great- grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
