Lovetta J. McClendon, age 77, of Clinton, Missouri passed away at her home Saturday, June 19, 2010. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with burial in Clinton Memory Gardens Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour before the service on Thursday at the chapel. Family suggests contributions to the Alzeheimers Association or the American Diabetes Association and may be left at the funeral home.

Lovetta was born in Red Oak, Iowa the daughter of Lawrence and Eva Manly. She was a member of the Deepwater Church of the Brethren and the Clinton Senior Center.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Hutchings of Lexington, Nouth Carolina; four step daughters, Debi Swetnam and husband, Bill of Moberly, Missouri, Karen Lusebrink and companion, Earl Rose of Meridan, Kansas, Sandra Jackson and husband, John of Augusta, Georgia and Beverly Nichols and husband, Nic of Kansas City, Missouri; one step son, John R. McClendon of Deepwater, Missouri; one brother, Louis Manly of Corning, Iowa as well as ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
