Lois Elizabeth (Fehlman) Shipley, daughter of Carl Roy Fehlman & Alice Elizabeth Johnston Fehlman was born April 18, 1928 and passed away on January 18, 2023 at her home in Clinton, MO just 3 months shy of her 95th birthday.

She was married in 1955 to Darrel Lee Shipley, of Drexel, MO who passed away in 2003.  They were married for 48 years.    They had three children, Bunny Shipley Weinfurter (Mark) of Appleton, WI, Lise Shipley of Clinton, MO, and Bruce Shipley (Deborah) of Drexel, MO.   She had four grandchildren, Rick Shipley (Mullai) of Overland Park, KS, Eric Shipley (Ashley) of Kansas City, MO, Mike Weinfurter of Menasha, WI and Amy Weinfurter of Oak Creek, WI.   She also had 2 great-grandsons Vikram and Jay Shipley of Overland Park, KS. Because Darrel was the youngest of 12 children, she really enjoyed being the aunt, great-aunt, and great-great-aunt etc..of over a hundred children/adults and she enjoyed seeing them at Shipley Reunions and following their lives and accomplishments via Facebook.

Darrel and Lois believed in being active in every community they lived and this included helping to lead the building of the Drexel Pool and Golf Course, leading 4-H Club, and being sponsor of Junior Prom and running the concession stand at school sporting events.    In Clinton, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Choir and Women's Circle.  She was also active and held officer position in the GFWC Lorna Kemper club, Garden Club, and Clinton Country Club and enjoyed meetings with fellow teachers at the Retired Teacher's Association.   Lois always said she loved that Darrel wanted to show her the world, and they took many trips with favorite places being Alaska, Europe and RV trips across the beautiful U.S. to see the national parks and the coasts.

Lois was a life-long educator and taught Home-Economics for nearly 30 years and stayed active with helping the Clinton grade school kids with reading up until the pandemic.  Darrel and Lois decided to retire to Clinton, MO to spend more time golfing, fishing, square dancing and being involved in church and clubs to serve the community.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother, and 2 sisters.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
