Leta May Reid age 97, of Kansas City, Missouri (formerly of Clinton) passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at her home. Graveside services will be held 3:00 P.M. Friday, June 14, 2013 in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, Missouri. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Adult Special Needs Class, First Baptist Church of Raytown and can be left in care of the funeral home. Leta was born November 4, 1915 in Henry County, Missouri the daughter of Emmett and Estha (Collins) Crain. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Raytown, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Treadway Reid in November of 1982; her parents, one brother, Harold Crain and one sister, Leone Chrisman.

Survivors include one son, Gene (Jan) Reid of Clinton, Missouri; one daughter, Susan (David) Valkus of Kansas City, Missouri; brother-in-law, Jim Chrisman of Houston, Texas; 3 grandchildren, Jeffery (April) Dunlap, Jim (Mona) Reid, and Anjie (Tom) Eshleman; 5 great-grandchildren, Parker Dunlap, Lane Reid, Hannah Reid, Deana Eshleman, Anna Eshleman; as well as niece, Kay (Robert) Wilkinson.
