Lee Helfer of Bolivar, formerly of Castle Rock, Colorado died August 28, 2018, losing his battle with cancer. Lee was born in Los Angeles, California to William and Marjorie Helfer. He is preceded in death by his parents and his nephew Graham.

Lee enjoyed his work having just retired on August 3. One of his greatest pleasures was the friendships he made throughout his career. He loved traveling across the United States and the adventure of exploring new areas of the country.

He is survived by his wife Diane of Bolivar and his sister Judi Setser of Franklin, Ohio, his 'like a brother' Brad and his loyal companions, his dogs Shadow and BoBo. He leaves behind many special friends he considered a blessing in his life.

Services to be held at a later date in Colorado. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made in Lee's memory to Lazarex Cancer Foundation, Danville, CA., Maxfund Animal Rescue in Denver, CO., New Hope Presbyterian Church, Castle Rock, CO., or your favorite charity.
