LaVonne (Von) Darlene Hanson passed away on August 25, 2022 at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO with loved ones by her side.

Von was born in Montrose, CO to Robert Sprouse and Ruth (Oliver) Sprouse Christensen on February 10, 1942.

She loved children and animals.  She enjoyed playing board games and card games with family and friends.

Von is predeceased by her husband and best friend Edward James Hanson, her daughter Ruth Jane Hanson, her beloved cocker spaniel Sissie Bear, and her parents.

She is survived by her daughters Brenda Hanson (Gary Guerin) of Vermont, Kimberly Hanson (Bill Smith) of Deepwater, Missouri and son Edward (Casey) Hanson (Crystal Wise) of Calhoun, Missouri.  Her grandchildren Paige Whiting, Grace Guerin, Cheyenne Salley (Dylan), Ayiana (Evie) Hanson, Edward (Max) Hanson, Lucas Hanson and Christopher Smith, her great-grandson Spencer Smith and her many loved sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews.
