Kenneth G. Simpson, age 92 years, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Leesburg Medical Center, Leesburg, Florida. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton, Missouri. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, Missouri. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Missionary Fund of the LDS Church and may be left in care of the funeral home. Kenneth was born February 27, 1922 in Urich, Missouri the son of Emmett and Ocie (Long) Simpson. He attended Camp Branch School and Urich High School. He went to Detroit and worked for Ford Motor Company during WWII. He then went to California and worked for Gamlin Chemical Company. After leaving there he went to work for Standard Oil Company, which later became Chevron, and retired from them after 45 years. During his working years with Chevron he lived in four different western states. He and his wife, Ruby, traveled the world including China and Russia.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Cecil Simpson and Ray Orr Jr.; and two sisters, Lillian Zehnder and Lea Fay Orr.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby of the home; daughter, Delores Lewis (Doug) of Leesburg, Florida; sister, Alta Fern Peterson of Parkville, Missouri; 4 grandchildren, Corina, Cristina, Brent, and Cynthia, 9 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
