Kathleen Van Ormer, daughter of Phillip Dewey and Elsie Jay (Julian) Trainer was born March 12, 1935 in Clinton, Missouri and passed away February 15, 2006 at her home in Clinton, Missouri.

Kathleen was married to James Robert Van Ormer and they made their home in Omaha, Nebraska before moving to Clinton in l984. He preceded her in death on July 17, 1993. She worked as an assistant clerk in the Henry County Clerk's Office for many years retiring six years ago. She was a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two sons, David Van Ormer of Kileen, Texas and Brian Van Ormer and wife, Kathleen of Omaha, Nebraska; one brother, John Trainer and wife, Fran of Osceola, Missouri; one sister, Mary Helen Hosack of Evansville, Indiana as well as seven grandchildren, Claire, Michael, Matthew, James, Amber, Crystal and Amanda and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, February 17, 2006 at Vansant-Mills Chapel with burial in Englewood Cemetery. Family suggests contributions to the Twin Lakes Hospice, Clinton and may be sent to the funeral home.
