A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 21, 2025 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel in Clinton. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the Karissa Burton Memorial Fund and may be left in care of the funeral home.

Karissa Anne Burton was born on June 11, 1980 in Clinton, Missouri to Ricky Lynn Burton and Pamela Kay Dearston (Burton).

Karissa Burton and Justin Logemann have 2 daughters, Heidi and Ruby Logemann. Karissa loved her daughters more than anything in the world! Karissa believed in reminding her kids how much she loved them and how beautiful they are, frequently. Karissa was very thankful to Justin for his devotion to taking care of their girls!

Karissa loved being outside doing yard work, and helping friends and family. Even when Karissa was unable to do any work, she enjoyed sitting outside and observing nature and having her face in the breeze. Karissa was a friend to everyone, and had friends far and wide. Karissa loved getting together with family and friends, but was always fashionably late.

Karissa is preceded in death by her father Ricky Lynn Burton, her nephew Auborne Lee Burton, her aunt Wanda Dearston, and all her grandparents, great grandparents, and many more family members.

Karissa is survived by her 2 daughters Heidi and Ruby Logemann of Montrose, Missouri, her mother Pamela Dearston of Appleton City, Missouri, her sister Tracy Burton of Harrisonville, Missouri, her brother Clay Burton and wife Sonja of Montrose, Missouri, nieces Devine Bellinger, Hailie Bellinger and Lilah Burton, nephews Devin Bellinger, Gary Bellinger JR, Dominic Burton, Aiden Burton, and Mason Burton, great niece Hayzel Bellinger and great nephew Auborne Morris, her aunt Vicki Blakely who opened her home, and uncle Jerry Dearston who was able to keep her spirits up. Our cousin Stephanie Roberts made a great effort to come visit Karissa and had several extended visits. Karissa is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Karissa was able to remain at home throughout her illness, because of the love and dedication of her sister Tracy, mother Pam, aunt Vicki, and the help of our uncle Jerry. They took such good care of Karissa, keeping her comfortable and happy until the end.

Karissa had many good friends, some of whom came to visit her frequently. Karissa's longtime friend, Kimberly Bayless was always willing to help anyway she could, whether it be for Karissa or her daughters. Yessenia Thomas was a dedicated friend to Karissa, who visited often. She always seemed to know what Karissa needed or wanted. Karissa's very best friend, Rory Coleman, was always there for her, and her girls. Karissa always knew that Rory would have her back, and that he would always be there for her daughters as well.

The family would like to thank St. Croix Hospice for all their care and attention given to Karissa and our family during this difficult time.
