Julie Joanne (James) Anderson was born on February 3, 1965 at Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia, Missouri to Barbara (McCune) and Larry James. Julie would look back and remember how her mom would go to great lengths to make sure she didn't have to go without anything and would play with her and make handmade gifts that she found to be more precious than gold. Julie often said that she learned to always put her family first from her mother. As the oldest of four girls, Julie made the care and safety of her younger sisters a priority and made it a point to make sure they always knew how loved they were.

At 20 Julie met Scott Anderson at Ken's Pizza in Sedalia, Missouri. She liked to tell people about how Scott made her heart pound when she would see him in his leather jacket and ride his Harley. He spoiled her by going on many weekend trips and buying her things. Julie wrote that Scott "made me feel so special." Julie and Scott were married on July 9, 1987 in Warrensburg, Missouri in a small informal ceremony with their mothers, sisters, and grandmothers in attendance. They honeymooned in Branson, Missouri with Julie's three sisters.

In writing, Julie reflected upon always dreaming of being a wife and mother and having her own family. On February 23, 1988 that dream became reality when Amanda Virginia was born. Shortly after Jessica Leigh was born on December 4, 1989, and a few years later William Sterling arrived on March 22, 1994. Julie's children remember how she made everything magical growing up whether it was an ornately decorated living room at Christmas time with the best gifts from Santa, or an elaborate Easter Sunday dinner with homemade Easter outfits and baskets filled with pastel treats. If one thing was certain, Julie was born to be a mother and made it her purpose every day to make all three of them feel loved and never question their worth. Her knack at parenting influenced her children to give her lots of grandkids so after retirement she could enjoy being a professional Memaw and continue turning the ordinary intosomething magical. Leah Michelle, Ryder Alan, Jordyn Paige, Cassidy Dawn, Jocelyn Joanne, Mason Scott, and Scarlett Sue were blessed to have many Christmas cookie decorating parties, Spooky themed Halloween parties, handmade gifts, outdoor excursions, and Memaw cuddles.

Julie had many other accomplishments in her life that she was very proud of and overcame many obstacles to achieve. The minister that baptized Julie when she accepted Christ as her savior told her "Everyone has to have a dream and if you focus on that dream and work hard to achieve it, it will come true, don't let anyone tell you anything is impossible." Julie kept that with her as she pursued her dream to becoming a nurse. Julie graduated from State Fair Community College in 1993 with an Associate of Arts degree and Warrensburg Area Career Center in 1996 with a diploma in practical nursing and practiced as an LPN in hospitals, nursing homes, and hospice. She had an affinity for building a rapport with dementia residents and took pride in earning their trust and the trust of their families. Her true nursing passion was found in hospice care, she felt called to serve the dying in their homes and help soothe them in their last days and the hardest times of their loved ones lives. She said it made her feel like Florence Nightingale herself would have been proud of her.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Tom and Ruby McCune, paternal grandparents John and Ruth James, Aunts and uncles Ethyl Bade, Mahlon James, Noel Wayne James, Bob McCune, and Tom McCune. She is survived by her parents Barbara and Larry James of Windsor, MO. Her husband, Scott Anderson of the home. Daughter Amanda Anderson of the home. Daughter Jessica (Zack) Fox of St. Charles, MO. Son Will (Chrissy) Anderson of Clinton, MO. Sisters Marie of Warrensburg, MO, Melanie of Pacific, MO, and Barb of Archie, MO. Grandchildren Leah, Ryder, and Mason (Jessica), Jordyn and Jocelyn (Amanda), and Cassidy and Scarlett (Will). Aunts Evelyn James, and Fran Tromp. Julie also has many nieces and nephews and cousins that she loved dearly.
