Johny E. Dodson, age 63 of Rockville, Missouri passed away Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Doctors Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M., Tuesday April 6, 2010 at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with burial in Maplewood Cemetery, Brownington, Missouri. Family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday at the chapel. Johny was born in Clinton, Missouri. He was a mechanic for Kansas City Power & Light for 28 years. He was a member of the Ararat Shrine and the I.B.E.W. Local 101, both in Kansas City, Missouri and the International Union of Operating Engineers.

He is survived by his mother, Ethyl McNeil of Clinton; one son, Johny E. Dodson, Jr. of Springfield, Missouri; two daughters, Sherry Lynn Kennedy and companion, Ryan Kalwei of Montrose, Missouri and Wanda Kay Dodson-Remer of Appleton City, Missouri; his fiance, Barbara Sherman of Taberville, Missouri; four brothers, Donald "Robert" Minks, Terry Minks and Dennis "Skipper" Buckley, all of Clinton, Missouri and Galen "Rocky" Tye of Leeton, Missouri; two sisters, Frances LaVerne Christmann and Donna Minor, both of Clinton; half sister, LeAnn Dodson of Kansas City, Missouri and six grandchildren.
