John Joseph Willis, age 84 of Clinton, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020 at St. Luke's North Hospital, Kansas City. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 2PM at Vansant-Mills Funeral Home. Services will be livestreamed on the Vansant-Mills Funeral Home Facebook page. Interment will follow at Tebo Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to Tebo Cemetery and may be left in care of the funeral home. John J. Willis was born January 4, 1936 to Duke and Virginia (Grimes) Willis in Kansas City, Missouri. John enjoyed family get togethers, and his grandchildren. He was a member of Catholic faith. John loved to fish, dance and play baseball, especially pitching. He was a man of few words.

John is preceded in death by his parents, wife Velma Willis, sister Elizabeth Ragusa, brother Dennis Willis, and step-son Jud Paxton.

John is survived by a sister, Barbara (Jack) Stowe, brother Steve (Patty) Willis, 3 daughters, Cheryl Willis, Susan Church, Judy (Ron) Warner, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
