John A. Smith, age 92, of Warsaw, Missouri passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023 at the Kansas City VA Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. John Alvin Smith was born on February 26, 1931 in Chicago Illinois. John lived in Kansas City area most of his life before moving to the Deepwater, Warsaw, Missouri area.  He loved fishing and dancing and was a member of the Warsaw American Legion and the Elks Lodge. John served in Korea with the U.S. Army. He worked for IML Freight lines as a Diesel Mechanic before retiring.

John is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Betty Lou Smith.

Survivors include by his son Bruce W Smith and daughter-in-law Janice E Smith, four grandchildren, Johnny D Bayse, Christopher C Smith, Melissa J Smith, and Amanda E Finken.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
