Joan Lintecum, age 85, of Raytown, Missouri passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Hidden Lake Care Center, Raytown. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2011 at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Kansas City, Missouri with interment in Brooking Cemetery, Raytown, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to Kansas City Hospice, in care of the funeral home. Joan was born March 5th, 1926 in Monarch, Kansas the daughter of Oscar Howard and Rosa (Templeton) Gardner. She was married to Glen W. Lintecum on January 14th, 1943 in Newton, Kansas and to this union two children where born, Bob and Karen. Joan worked for Hallmark Cards for 23 years as a quality inspector. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Raytown. Joan was a member of A.B.W.A. Flaming Crown Chapter. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glen, three brothers Forrest, Hubert, and M.J. and one sister Clara Solida.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Kessler and husband Corky of Clinton, Missouri, her son Robert Lintecum and wife Juanita of Grandview, Missouri. Grandchildren Mary Mills of Clinton, Missouri and Chris Lintecum and wife Johnna of Marion, Iowa. Three great-grandchildren Cody Bucksath, Kendrick Lintecum, and Emma Lintecum. One sister-in-law June Gardner, of Raytown Missouri and numerous nieces and nephews and geat nieces and nephews.
