Jesse L. Justis, age 88 years, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Windsor Healthcare and Rehab, Windsor, Missouri. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 26, 2015 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton, Missouri. No Visitation. Interment will be at Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, Missouri. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association and may be left in care of the funeral home. Jesse Lee Justis was born May 8, 1926 in Clinton, Missouri the son of George and Violet (Price) Justis.  He began working for MOPUB in 1946, and retired from there after 41 years of service in 1987.  He was a 65 year member of the IBEW, and was also a Mason since 1955.  Jesse was also a member of the Elks and Eagles Lodges and Northeast Baptist Church.  He enjoyed going to yard sales with his wife, Geraldine.

Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 31 years, Geraldine, in 2013, his brother Forrest Justis, and sister Dolly Owsley.

Survivors include two sons, Dan Justis (Christi) of Clinton, Missouri and Daryl Justis of Kansas City, Missouri; two step-sons, Richard Hood of DesMoines, Iowa and Frank Hood of St. Joseph, Missouri; two step-daughters, Joyce Hood of Arizona and Gail Murray of Indiana, as well as many great and great-great grandchildren.
