Janie A. Reid, age 78 years, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton, Missouri. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, 2:00 P.M. at Vansant-Mills Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment to follow in Calhoun Cemetery. Janie was born October 28, 1936 in Calhoun, Missouri to Jim Bert Shifflett and Gertrude Irene Bohl. She worked at Golden Living Center Westwood for over 25 years. Janie enjoyed gardening and mowing her lawn, but her true joy in life was her family. She loved spending time with them and watching her great-grandchildren.

Janie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Junior Reid, son Ernest Lee Reid, grandson Clay Allen Huff, 2 granddaughters, Jeanie Mae Jeys and Candice Younce, daughter-in-law Cheryl Reid, and a sister, Rosie Gordan.

Janie is survived by sons, Leslie Reid (Tonia), Jimmy Ray Reid, and Robbin Gail Reid; daughters, June Huff (Leo) and Cora Jeys; brother Lester Shifflett; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many family members and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, Missouri.
