James Shaw of Deepwater, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.

James Denton Shaw was born April 27, 1944 in Ivanhoe, California, the son of Samual Raymond Shaw and Laona (Forcum)Shaw.

Known to family and friends as Jim, he was a devoted husband to his wife, Maryjane Shaw; a loving father to Robert (Karen) Shaw and Lauren Bonnewitz; a cherished father-in-law to Matt Bonnewitz; and a proud grandfather to Iassic Vincent, Joe Vincent, Eli Vincent, and Seth Vincent, Ashley Tubbin, Jacob Shaw and Jaden Shaw.

Jim had a deep love for the outdoors and took great pride in maintaining his beautiful yard. He was also known for his remarkable architectural talents and the craftsmanship he brought to every project. Always willing to lend a helping hand without hesitation, Jim touched the lives of many through his kindness, generosity, and quiet strength.

His beautiful spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, Missouri.
