James William Phillips, age 52, of Weston, MO passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012 at his parents home in Quincy, MO. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 6, 2012 at the Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton with burial in the Norris Cemetery, Urich, MO. James was born March 27, 1959 in Kansas City, Missouri to Albert and Anna (Winkler) Phillips. He worked for the United States Department of Corrections at Leavenworth for 19 years, retiring in 2012.

Survivors include his two daughters, Kira Hall of Plankinton, South Dakota, and Katherine Ross of Fort Knox, Kentucky; his parents, Albert and Anna Phillips of Quincy, Missouri; one brother, Walphia Ray Phillips of Raytown, Missouri and two grandchildren, Kaydence Zehner and Kaylee Phillips.

Services have been entrusted to the Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, MO.
