Obituary

James "J.D." Shaw, age 64, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at his home in Clinton, Missouri. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 29, 2022 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel in Clinton with visitation from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service. Cremation to follow. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the J.D. Shaw Memorial Fund and can be left in care of the funeral home.

James Dean Shaw was born on September 20, 1957 and departed this life on April 21, 2022. He went by several names including Jimmy, James Dean, JD and Jim.
James will be remembered as a very talented artist and created many masterpieces over the years for his friends and family. He loved the outdoors and his biggest passion was fishing. He was always positive, no matter the circumstance and always had a joke or a funny story ready to tell. He could cheer anyone up and his laugh was unforgettable. James was deeply loved and will be missed by many.
James is survived by his mother, Viola Bailey, brothers; Grant Jackson Jr., Robert Jackson and sister, Kimberly Jackson, children; Jason Shaw, Jesse (Sheldon) Shaw, Kourtney (Dustin) Bruns, Lindsey Shaw and Shyann Shaw (her mother, Angelina Brewer), grandchildren; Devin Shaw, Dillan Shaw, Michael Goodpaster, Lily Goodpaster, Alaina Goodpaster, Kinley Bruns, Aunt Erma Woody and several beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Shaw, father, Willard Shaw, brother, Ricky Bledsoe, as well as grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
