Jacob "Jake" Elliot Hann was born on December 29,1975 in Clinton, Missouri the first son of Russell "Russ" Hann and Glenda (Parker) Hann.  Jake grew up in Clinton and continued to reside in his hometown building his life around his family and friends. Jake married the love of his life, Donna Breshears English, on August 10, 2024. They were childhood best friends who found their way back to each other after many years apart. Those who knew Jake saw he had found true happiness again.  Jake and Donna blended their families together with their six children.  Their entire world centered around the home they made together.

Jake graduated from Clinton High School, Class of 1994. He attended the University of Central Missouri (UCM) where he graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Drafting Technology.  He began his career at Whitehead Consultants, Inc. as an intern in 1996 and quickly fell in love with the business.  He decided to go back to school at Longview Community College to obtain his certification as a Professional Licensed Land Surveyor and graduated in 2003.  In 2005, Jake along with his business partner, Michael Taylor, purchased Whitehead Consultants, Inc. Jake continued his professional footprint and obtained his Land Surveying licenses in Kansas and Arkansas. Jake was also the Henry County Land Surveyor.  He was elected in 2008 and continued to serve in the position until his passing.

Jake was an incredible friend to everyone he knew.  He was kind, loyal and humble. Most of the time a man of few words but was always there for others and had a true open-door policy.  His garage was a place of gathering.  Affectionately known to most as the "Boat Dock." A place where friends could share stories and always know an ice cold Budweiser was ready and waiting.

Jake loved the outdoors.  He enjoyed fishing, but everyone knew duck hunting was his true passion.  He never missed an opportunity to support local conservation efforts. He was an avid supporter of Ducks Unlimited and was a Diamond Life Sponsor. Jake looked forward to duck season every year and some of his most cherished memories were in a duck blind surrounded by family and friends.

His wife and children were the center of his world, and there was not a day that went by that he did not show the pride he had in them.  Jake took care of everyone around him and the stability he provided was felt deeply.  The loss is profound, but the love he showed could not be measured.

Preceding him in death was his father, Russell "Russ" Hann, father-in-law, Ronald "Randy" Breshears.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Hann of the home, his children; Mason (Khrisa) Hann, Clinton, MO, Alex Hann, Warrensburg, MO, Jack
