Irvin Clarence Bennett, age 95 of Clinton, Missouri passed away Friday, August 22, 2008 at Golden Living Center-Westwood, Clinton.
Funeral services will be at Vansant-Mills Chapel, on Monday, August 25, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with burial in the Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the Funeral Home. Irvin was born in Hartville, Missouri. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Clinton, where he was a deacon and President of Royal Heirs. He was also a member of I.B.E.W. Local 53, Kansas City, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gladys; one great grandson, Alex Jensen; two brothers and six sisters.

Irvin is survived by one son, Gene Bennett and wife, Janice of Riverton, Kansas; one daughter, Betty Lee Chamberlin and husband Alan of Camdenton, Missouri; one sister, Ruby Major of Madisonville, Kentucky; three sisters-in-law, Silva Vaught of Clinton, Missouri, Wilma Dampf of California, Missouri and Louise Bennett of Muskogee, Oklahoma; as well as two grandchildren, Kerri Jensen and Kevyn Bennett and two great-grandchildren, Beth Jensen and Jack Bennett.
