Ira Lowell Jones, age 90 of Clinton, Missouri passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton, Missouri. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 22, 2009 at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Mt. Zion, Missouri, with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Family will receive friends Saturday, November 21, 2009 from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. at Vansant-Mills Chapel. The family suggests contributions to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and may be left in care of the funeral home.

Lowell was born in St. Clair County, Missouri. He served in the United States Army. He was a farmer and raised cattle. He worked for Alva Allen Industries for more than twenty years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

Lowell is survived by his wife, Kay, of the home; his children, Myrna Hilty and husband Stan of Clinton, Ronald and wife Joan of Altus, Oklahoma, Raymond and wife Pat of Montrose, Missouri and Marilyn Hankins and husband Keith of Arcola, Missouri as well as six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
