Hershel William "Bill" Parks, 57, departed from his earthly life and went home Wednesday, November 29, 2006 in sunny Torrance, California. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at the Clinton Christian Church will burial in Englewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends, Monday, December 4, 2006 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Calhoun Fire Department or the Calhoun First Baptist Church and may be left in care of the funeral home.

Bill was born May 9, 1949, in Henry County to Edwin and Ruth Parks. He lived most of his life in Calhoun. He owned Parks Cabinet Shop, Inc., in Calhoun. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Gloria Jean Parks.

He is survived by his son Nigel Best of Calhoun, MO, his wife Lynh & children Abigail and Madeline; son Ryan Parks of Calhoun, MO & his wife Ashley; daughter Lindsey Parks of Kansas City, MO & her daughter Dominique Malveaux; sister Ann Bohrn-Wymore & husband Jack of Overland Park, KS; sister Nancy Marlow & husband Bill; brother Bob Parks & wife Janet of Clinton, MO; sister Robin Park-Feldman & husband David of Torrance, CA; along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

His family and many friends who have been blessed by his presence will miss him dearly.
