Herbert E. McCollum, age 66 years, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014 at his home in Holden, Missouri. A memorial service will be held 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton, Missouri. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Private family inurnment will follow at a later date. Herbert was born January 27, 1948 in North Kansas City, Missouri the son of Elmer and Ada (Chisum) McCollum. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. Herbert was a member of the V.F.W. and Patriot Guard Riders.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Survivors include his wife Lois (Wolfe) McCollum of the home; son, Johnny McCollum; daughter, Sheryl McCollum all of Holden, Missouri; brother, Roy McCollum of North Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as 2 sisters.
