Herb A. Carter, 66, Clinton passed away Sunday, June 23, 2019 at KU Med Center, Kansas City, Kansas. Fond memories and condolences may be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com . A Memorial service for Herb will be on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at 2pm with visitation one hour prior to the service at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton, Missouri. Inurnment will follow at Antioch Cemetery, Clinton, Missouri.

Herbert Arthur Carter was born October 30, 1952 to Emma Christine Brame and Herbert May Carter. Herbert graduated from Clinton High School in 1970, where he was an amazing athlete and held many school records. He went on to join the Air Force, after serving in the military he went on to work at Rival Manufacturing Company, after Rival closed Herb went on to do what he loved the most in life and that was to cook. Herb was an executive chef in Las Vegas, Florida and Missouri. Herb was a lifetime member of Second Baptist Church, Clinton, Missouri.

Herb was called home on June 23, 2019 and leaves to cherish his memory two beautiful daughters, Kimberly Carter and Candice Rivera, four amazing grandchildren, Javon, Precious, Kiana and Khalia and one great-grand daughter, Kynlee as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, brother, Robert Carter and sister, Tonya Brown and last but not least his wifey-for-lifey, Karen Carter. He also leaves behind a host of family and friends.
