Helen Berneice Martin, age 91, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2009 in Michigan. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2009 at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with burial in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. Berneice was born in Deepwater, Missouri. She taught Christian church classes, was a member of Rebecca and a senior citizen's "kitchen band" in Clinton. She also owned a women's clothing shop, Mode-O-Day on the Clinton square. She moved to Michigan to be near her daughter and granddaughters after her husband, Charles passed away in 1996.

Among survivors are her daughter Sharon Rose Eager and husband John, two granddaughters, Shannon Kay Millington and Shawn Renae DePlaunty all of Michigan; two great granddaughters and two great grandsons; three sisters, Dorothy Plank of Silverdale, Washington, Mary Reynolds, Bolivar, Missouri and Evelyn Shaw, Las Vegas, Nevada.
