Harold Dean Bailey, age 73, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton, Missouri. A memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, November 19, 2012 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton. The family suggests memorial contributions to the VFW Post 1894 and can be left in care of the funeral home. Harold served in the U.S. Navy from 1956-1976. After retiring from the Navy he worked for Kansas City Power & Light for 20 years, retiring from there in 2001. He was a member of the VFW Post 1894.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfus and Lillie (Lee) Bailey, brother, Verlon Bailey, and step-mother, Emogene Bailey.

Among survivors are his special friend, Katie Daugherty of Clinton, Missouri, and brother, James Bailey and wife, June of Malvean, Arkansas,as well as several nieces and nephews.
