Hannah "Frances" Southers, age 100 years, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton, Missouri. There will be a visitation on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. with the service to follow at 2:30 p.m. at Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, Missouri. Burial will be in the Carpenter Cemetery, Chilhowee, MO. Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Clinton Senior Center Meals on Wheels and may be left in care of funeral home.

Frances was born in Calhoun, Missouri in December of 2014 to Charles A. and Hannah (Anderson) Riley. She was married to William Southers on March 11, 1933. She was a cook at Chilhowee School for 14 years, and worked at Warrensburg Hospital in housekeeping. She moved to Clinton in 1975 and worked at Westwood until she retired. She was a member of Northeast Baptist Church, Clinton.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Robert W. Southers; daughter-in-law Grace; and granddaughter, Lydia Southers.

Survivors are her sons James Douglas Southers (Patty), C. W. Southers (Carolyn), and Lawrence Southers; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
