Greta Batschelett, age 92, of Clinton passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2010 in Montrose, Missouri at the home of her nephew John and Linda Hilte. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 2, 2010 at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton, with burial in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. Family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 1, 2010 at Vansant-Mills Chapel. Greta was born in Henry County, Missouri the daughter of Phillip and Ethel Birdie (Cowan) Carter. She attended the LaDue United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Edwin Kauffman, her second husband, George H. Batschelett and an infant son.

She is survived by her brother, Phil Carter of Green Valley, Arizona; two sisters, Alice Hilte of Montrose, Missouri and June Cowden of Kansas City, Missouri; four nephews, John P. Hilte, James C. Hilte, Trent Carter and Mark Cowden and one niece, Becky Callahan as well as a number of great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
