Georgia M. Burkes, age 63 of Clinton, Missouri passed away Saturday, October 22, 2005 at Westwood Nursing Center, Clinton. Funeral services will be Friday, October 28, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton. Burial will be in the Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Florida at a later date. The Family suggest memorial contributions to the Georgia M. Burkes Memorial Fund and may be left at the Vansant-Mills Funeral Home.

Georgia was born in Lawton, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Milton, Florida.

She is survived by her three sons, Randy M. Burkes, Clinton, Missouri, James P. Burkes, Warsaw, Missouri, and Virgil D. Pettores, Deepwater, Missouri; one daughter, Anne Swain, Lowry City, Missouri; one brother, Emery Oldaker, Clinton, Missouri; one sister, Stella Shook, Stockton, Missouri and seven grandchildren.
