Genevieve "Jean" Mae Brownsberger, age 81 years, passed away Wednesday, June 1,2016 at her home in Deepwater, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 4, at 2pm with visitation 1 hour prior at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Brownington, Missouri. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Henry County Memory Fund and can be left in care of the funeral home. Jean was born to Wilbur and Leena (Phillips) Snipes July 5, 1934, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She enjoyed, bowling, fishing, gardening, surfing the internet, watching the TV shows The Big Bang Theory and Judge Judy, loved to Jitterbug, and loved her dog FIFI her bird buddy . She worked for the KC Royals in concessions for 20 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Virgil Brownsberger who passed away march 15, 2013, 2 brothers; Don and Clifford Snipes, 1 son; Timothy Allen and a grandson; Troy Hodge.

Among survivors are 2 sons; Danny Ray Phillips of Lafayette, Kentucky, Pete Alvarado(Mindy)of Belton, Missouri, 5 daughters; Vicky Delanty (Roger)of Climax Springs, Missouri, Kathy Massow (John) of Warsaw, Missouri, Debbie Davis (Dan) Bonne Terre, Missouri, Peggy Fender (Rick) of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Becky Hanna of Wichita, Kansas, 3 sisters; Mary Lee Moore of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Karen Lucy Henson of Omaha, Nebraska, Betty Hall of Council Bluffs, Iowa, 5 brothers; Glen, Bill, Ray, and Vernon Snipes all of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Dennis Snipes of Omaha, Nebraska, along with 36 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.
