Gary L. Michael, Sr. age 60 of Clinton, Missouri (formerly of Kansas City) passed away Thursday, February 5, 2009 at his home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 10, 2009, 10:00 a.m. First Baptist Church, Clinton with burial in the Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. The family will receive friends Monday, February 9, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Vansant-Mills Chapel. the family suggests memorial contributions to Fellowship of Christian Athletes which may be left in care of the funeral home. Gary was born in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the founder of Olathe Toyota, Olathe, Kansas,and was the former owner of 1-70 Motors in Odessa, Missouri, St. Joseph Nissan, St. Joseph, Missouri and Readi Motors, Clinton, Missouri. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Clinton.

Among survivors include his wife, Melissa of the home; two sons, Gary Lee Michael, Jr. of Clinton and Chris Michael and wife Meaghan of Deepwater, Missouri; two daughters, Jackie Midkiff and husband Mark of Liberty, Missouri and Jennifer Ruff and husband, Michael of Raymore, Missouri; one brother, Charles Michael and wife, Donna of Prescott, Arizona; one sister, Margaret French and husband Jack of Independence Missouri and one half sister, Virginia. As well as five grandchildren, Garrison Midkiff, Alexandra Midkiff, Makayla Midkiff, Liam Ruff and Andrew Yohe.
