Gary Rogers Gretzinger, 77, of Urich, Mo., died Saturday, August 29, 2015, at his home in Urich. Funeral services will be at Lucas United Methodist Church in Urich, Mo., on Tuesday, September 1, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Gary was born December 16, 1937, to Johnie Ross and Ellis Mildred Gretzinger in Butler, Mo. Gary was a lifelong farmer and enjoyed his daily duties farming and raising cattle. He liked to hunt, fish and garden. He had a big heart for animals and people in need and he loved the Lord.

Gary is survived by his wife, Rosemarie Gretzinger; son, Shane Gretzinger (Megan) of Urich, Mo.; daughter, Amy Swanson (Russell) of Lathrop, Mo.; and son, John (Emily) of Kansas City, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Sarah Swanson, Jessica Swanson, Reagan Gretzinger, Caroline Gretzinger, Ramey Gretzinger, Kaley Gretzinger and Henry Gretzinger; and one sister, Darlene Gordon of St. Louis, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Vern Perry; and two brothers, Donald and Del Gretzinger.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Uplift Organization Inc., Lucas United Methodist Church, or Twin Lakes Hospice and can be left in care of the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, Missouri.
