Garland Edwards, age 78 of Deepwater, Missouri passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 24, 2012 at Vansant-Mills Funeral Chapel, Clinton, Missouri with interment in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Deepwater, Missouri. Visitation will be one hour prior to service also at Chapel. Garland served in the Army during the Korean conflict. He was a machinist working for Allis Chalmers-Gleaner Baldwin, Independence, Missouri for 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd Palmer and Pebble (Nance) Edwards, and an infant brother Jerry Dean Edwards.

Survivors include his brother, Larry Edwards (Patricia) of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a son Garland Lee Edwards (Theresa), Clinton, Missouri; a daughter Cindy Curry (James), Holden, Missouri; two nieces Erin Edwards, Bixby, Oklahoma and Christena Edwards, Fayetteville, Arkansas; and a great nephew Lance Edwards, Bixby, Oklahoma.
