Fred Vernon Profitte, Jr. son of Fred V. and Virgie Mae Miller Proffitte was born January 19, 1931 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and passed away February 10, 2007 at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton, Missouri. He was 76 years and 22 days old.

On September 2, 1950 he was united in marriage to Lois Jean White and to this union three children were born, Michael, Danny and Sherry.

Fred was a member of the Hoisting Engineers Local 513, St. Louis, Missouri for 45 years.

He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, Lois Jean Proffitte of the home; two sons, Michael Proffitte of St. Louis, Missouri and Danny Proffitte of St. Ann, Missouri; one daughter, Sherry Overshon of Gerald, Missouri; one sister, Joyce Aldrich of Greenville, Missouri; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
