Franklin (Frank) Dee Montgomery, 79, beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away on March 1, 2015 after a fall at the home. A visitation will be held Thursday March 05, 2015 from 06:30 P.M. until 08:30 P.M at Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri. The funeral will take place the following day at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow the service at Englewood Cemetery in Clinton, Missouri. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Salvation Army and may be left in care of the funeral home. Frank was a lifelong resident of the Clinton MO. area. Born May 21, 1935, to Verna Anne Hetherington Montgomery and George Emmett Montgomery, he was the 5th of 7 children. Frank was baptized as a young boy in the Christian Church. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1953. After high school Frank joined the Army Reserves, and was stationed at Fort Bliss, El Paso Texas, he was an instructor for the Quad 50 machine gun. He obtained a Certificate in Drafting through the Chicago Technical School. In Frank's younger days he enjoyed camping with the kids, trout fishing, pheasant hunting, and deer hunting. One of his greatest joys was when the entire family got together for Christmas dinners. Frank married Patty Jo Saddler June 6, 1959 at the Clinton Christian Church. Frank served on the Clinton City Council in the 1970s.

In the early 1960s Frank began building homes and developed Montgomery addition in Clinton. He built and remodeled over 100 homes in the Clinton area. He has always drawn his own blueprints and was a master carpenter. In 1988, after college his son David joined the construction business, and in 1994 his son-in-law Taylor Bush also joined the construction business. In 1977 Frank and Pat purchased a farm east of Clinton, where they began raising cattle. For many years since then, during deer season, Frank and Pat loved hosting a wiener roast for the family and friends.

Frank is survived by his wife Pat, daughter Suzanne and husband Taylor Bush, son David, one granddaughter Sarah Bush. One brother Bob Montgomery and two sisters Martha Keck, and Georgia and husband Paul Ross, and sister in-law Luwana Montgomery. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Emmett, and Jim, and one sister Dorothy Bradley.
