Flossie Mae James, 82, passed away June 10, 2011 at Golden Living Center-Westwood, Clinton, MO.

She was born February 7, 1929 to Charles and Rosie Viola Kidwiler west of Clinton.

Flossie was united in marriage to Mirl Erston James December 1949, who passed away in January, 1970. To this union three children were born, Ed, Robert and Georgia.

Flossie was a homemaker and also worked at Unitog as a piece worker for many years. She was a member of the American Gold Star Mother's Club for which she was most proud. Her handwork for making quilts, embroidery and such were something she took pride in. She loved flowers and gardening, but most of all loved to fish. Outdoors, on the river, she was the happiest.

Survivors include one son Ed James, wife Molli, Calhoun, Missouri and one daughter, Georgia Munsterman, husband Mike, of Holts Summit, Missouri; five grandchildren, Tina Antwiler, Calhoun, Brooke Smith, Clinton, Bob James, Clinton, Nathan Munsterman, Andover, MN., and Chris Munsterman, Parkville, MO. There are five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters Elsie Smith, Deepwater, and Rosie Richardson; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Mirl, a son Robert Lee killed in Vietnam, 1970. Also her very dear friend Gabe Sersey and four brothers, Willard, Clifton, Abe, and Charles Kidilwer.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 13, 2011
at Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, MO.

Visitation is at 1:00 P.M. followed by services at 2:00 P.M., Burial is at Englewood Cemetery, Clinton.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and may left in care of funeral home.
