Estel "Leroy" Long, age 83 of Urich, passed away January 30, 2018 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg, Missouri.

Leroy was an auditor for the IRS until his retirement. He was a member of the Clinton Church of Christ. He enjoyed tractor pulls and antique tractors. Leroy loved dogs, he enjoyed showing German Shepherd dogs at dogs shows.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Noreta Long in 2009, a daughter, Suzette Cassidy and a sister, Mary.

Leroy is survived by daughters, Nanette I. Hayes, Clinton and Colette E. Collett (Aaron), Warrensburg, brother, Norman Long, Raytown, Sister Rose Woodson, Columbia, 6 grandchildren, 13 and one on the way great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and family.

Funeral service will be at Vansant-Mills Chapel on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 10:30AM with visitation one hour prior to service. Internment will follow at White Oak Cemetery, Urich, MO. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Show-Me Youth Home and may be left in care of the funeral home.
