Ernestine Hicks, age 83 of Clinton, Missouri passed away Sunday, November 4, 2012 at her home. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton, Missouri with interment in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 P.M. prior to service. Family suggests memorial contributions to Twin Lakes Hospice and may be left in care of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton. Ernestine was born May 27, 1929 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Ernest Christian and Mabel(Gordon) Creech. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Mabel(Gordon) Creech, son L.V. Hicks, Jr., daughter, Cindy Stirts, and sister, Mary Lee Mulkey.

Survivors include her husband, Leonard Hicks, Sr. of the home and one daughter, Ginny Sampson (Keith) of Jefferson City, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren; also a half brother Ernie Creech of Charlotte, North Carolina.
