Ellen Jean Hoppe, age 81 of Clinton, Missouri passed away Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Clinton Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Clinton. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Vansant-Mills Chapel with interment at the Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. Family will receive friends from 10:30-11:00 a.m. prior to the service on Wednesday. Family suggests contributions to the United Methodist Church of Clinton or to the Henry County Museum which may be left at the Vansant-Mills Chapel. Ellen was born in Henry County, Missouri the daughter of Bert C and Elizabeth Schiebel Lindstrom. She worked at Farmer's Bank in a number of capacities, including secretary to Mr. Harry Finks and retired from there in 1977. She was a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church.

She was preceeded in death by her parents, her husband, William Hoppe, and one sister Mary Louise Gray.

She is survived by a daughter, Susan Mosley and husband, Rick of Clinton, Missouri, two grandsons, Max Mosley and Luke Mosley and one sister in law, Mary Virginia Knutson of Kansas City, Missouri as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
