Ella M. Sawyer, age 83 of Clinton, Missouri passed away Friday, September 13, 2013 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton. Memorial services will be held in Burlington, Iowa at a later date. Fond memories may be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com.

Ella was born in Burlington, Iowa to Frank H. and Reatha Dalton Raines. She was a homemaker.

Ella was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roy and a sister Doris Davis.

Survivors include three daughters, Penny S. (Steve) Altis of Clinton, Bonny Sawyer, Middletown, Iowa, Judy Lyn (Mel) Getchell, Burlington, Iowa; two sons, James L. Sawyer, China and Tom (Lynn) Sawyer, Burlington, Iowa; one brother, Floyd Raines, Magazine, Arkansas; one sister, Donna Long, Burlington, Iowa; 13 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 2 step great-granchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and 1 step great-great grandchild.
