Edith M. Beatty, age 91, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton, Missouri. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with visitation one hour prior to the service. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association and can be left in care of the funeral home. Edith was born is Brunswick, Missouri to Edward and Lillian (Price) DeWeese. She loved bowling, gardening, and bird watching, and was a "BINGO nut." She was also an avid Bible reader and a member of the Dunnawig Baptist Church in Joplin, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edgar L. Beatty, brother, James Edward DeWeese, and sister, Patricia Ann French.

Among survivors are four sons, Edward Parsons of Clinton, Missouri, Glen Beatty of Mission, Kansas, Dean Beatty of Tonganoxie, Kansas, and Roger Beatty of North Kansas City, Missouri.
