Earnest "Gene" Hills, age 64 of Deepwater, Missouri passed away Sunday, November 6, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, November 11, 2011 at Assembly of God Church, Clinton, Missouri with burial in Clinton Memory Gardens Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton. Memorial contributions can be made to the Gene Hills Memorial Fund and may be left in care of the funeral home. Gene was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Clinton, the C.M.A. Messiah's Messenger and a past member of the Christian Businessmen Association.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly "Sue" of the home; son Gary Hills and wife Kim of Gerster, Missouri; son James R. Hills and wife Jennifer of Deepwater, Missouri; daughter Diana Tirey of Deepwater, Missouri; two brothers Mike Hills and wife Jeanie of Clinton and Monroe Hills and wife Debbie of Deepwater; eight grandchildren, Crystal Humerickhouse, Nathan Tirey, James Robert Hills, Rebecca Travis, Dustin Travis, and J.R. Hills, Jenna Hills and Jessica Hills; six great-grandchildren, Brent Carroll, Cameron Mertz, Gavin Tirey, Harly Humerickhouse, Trinity Travis, and Chance Deffendorff
